Fracino savours global recognition across international TV channels

The reputation of award-winning espresso machine manufacturer Fracino has rocketed to new heights as a programme featuring its multi-award winning machines airs to an audience of millions of viewers across the US, Europe and UK this month.

The storming success of the third generation family business - which manufacturers almost 5,000 machines annually and exports to countries the breadth and depth of the globe - features in a Discovery Channel programme entitled ‘How Things Work’.

Demonstrating how Fracino produces high-quality coffee machines in its Birmingham factory, the broadcast will go out on Discovery Science Channel in the US and across other US regions on March 17 at 10.00pm. Repeated the following week at 10.30pm it will also be transmitted in the UK and Europe on Quest on March 29 at 9pm.

The development marks another dynamic milestone for business which was founded in a garden shed 53 years ago and now boasts a 60-strong team with a £4.6m turnover.

Sought out by global brands including SUBWAY®, which has commissioned a bespoke coffee machine for its low to medium volume sites across the UK, Ireland and Poland, Fracino operates a 700-strong UK distribution network in the UK and a 40 plus distribution network globally.

Across 2015 Fracino scooped eight high-profile awards. The business started 2016 by receiving a silver accolade in the Smart Product category of the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards and two additional award shortlistings – and is on track to post a £5.5m turnover at year end on March 31.

Said MD Adrian Maxwell: “As a manufacturer which consistently strives to achieve world class manufacturing standards, we’re immensely proud that our manufacturing techniques and reputation as a British manufacturer will be seen across the world. Our commitment to innovation, investment and training is relentless and this is a tremendous opportunity to showcase our quality products.”
